It’s been a challenging year for everyone both personally and economically, but we believe 2021 will be a better year for and we can’t wait to carry on putting all your ideas into production. We wish all our customers and everyone reading this a Merry Christmas and a very prosperous new year, to you and your families.
Any online orders placed over the Christmas holidays will be checked and accepted once we’re back in office on the 4th of January.
We’ll round this off with a few photos below of some of the work we’ve been doing in the lead up to the holidays, best wishes to everyone from Unicorn Sheet Metal.
The exhaust stacks pictured below are made from rolled up sections of 3mm thick s275 grade steel and one 10mm thick s275 base plate, we started by working out the flat state sizes required for the overall diameters, before programming them onto sheets and cutting them on our laser. The next stage was the trickiest, we had to feed them through our powered rolls until the diameter was as required, then remove them and weld them together. Once completed they were transported to the galvanizers to be coated.

The photos seen below show panels for a perforated steel enclosure we cut from 6mm s275 steel on our laser, once these are shipped to our customer they’ll fit into each other like jigsaw pieces and be welded together before having a secondary process such as shot blasting or painting applied. We were really pleased with the finish as was the customer.
