5 Metre Dust Collector Platform Part 2

A couple of months back we posted about a platform we’d been making for a customer specializing in extraction and ventilation, the platform was made to go in a mineral processing plant and designed to hold a 16 cartridge dust collection unit on top of it, keeping it out of the way but providing easy access for the workers and maintenance. The job was a bit of a task and required almost every set of hands in the factory but we got there in the end, the photo’s below show the dust collection unit on top of the platform and a view from ground level. Everything from the platform, to the dust collection unit’s panels and fittings and even the aluminium step bridging the gap between the unit and the filter cage access was manufactured in house by Unicorn, transported to site and fitted by Newgate Air Systems.
